1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using Lingobar, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Educational Disclaimer & "As-Is" Service

Lingobar is a self-help educational tool designed to assist with language learning. We do not guarantee that you will achieve fluency, pass official CEFR exams (like CILS or CELI), or obtain employment by using our platform.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" during our Open Beta phase, without warranties of any kind regarding uptime, bug-free performance, or data retention.

3. AI & Accuracy Disclaimer

Our platform uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate conversations, highlight mistakes, and translate text. Please be aware that AI may occasionally produce inaccurate, inappropriate, or hallucinated content. Lingobar is not liable for any errors or issues arising from AI-generated content.

4. User Conduct

You agree to use Lingobar for educational purposes only. Any abuse of the AI systems, spamming, or attempts to hack the platform will result in immediate account termination at our sole discretion.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, including stories, illustrations, UI designs, and code, is the intellectual property of Lingobar and may not be copied, modified, or resold without explicit permission.

6. Open Beta, Fair Use & Infrastructure Scaling

Lingobar's core curriculum (structured grammar rules, vocabulary flashcards, reading stories, and unit review tests) is made accessible free of charge. As a special early-adopter initiative during our Open Beta, the first 500 registered user accounts are designated as Lifetime Founder VIP accounts, enjoying permanent access to core features, premium aesthetic themes, and priority access without mandatory subscriptions.

Because dynamic features (including real-time AI conversation partners, speech synthesis, automated speech recognition, and cloud database synchronization) incur variable third-party API and infrastructure hosting costs, all interactive AI and voice services are subject to daily fair-use limits. Lingobar reserves the right to modify fair-use quotas, update feature availability, or introduce optional paid supporter tiers in the future as necessary to cover rising third-party API and operational infrastructure costs.
